The College Success Network’s mission is to create a stronger New Mexico by connecting a network of leaders to ensure our youth have the preparation, information and resources will better prepare underrepresented student populations for entering and succeeding in college. The outcome of the campaign will dramatically change the way New Mexicans think about education and will dramatically increase the number of New Mexico Students that complete high school go onto and succeed in college. Increasing college access and completion rates for young people in the state will enhance economic development, civic participation and create a better quality of life in New Mexico.
Currently, CSN is engaged with a grant driven college access and career exploration campaign roped around a statewide college and career planning tool (web-portal). This campaign encompasses the NMHED, NMPED, NMDWS and other state departments best practices, CSN and our outreach partners, IT resources, state mandated Next Step plan, college and career strategies to collectively develop, build and implement a statewide college and career planning tool available to the students, parents, educators and citizens of New Mexico.
CSN in conjunction with NMPED and secondary schools will continue to expand CSN’s existing scholarship database to provide students with a comprehensive list of local and regional scholarships through a dynamic scholarship query tool. This tool will serve all segments of our very diverse population and will be housed and maintained by CSN and offered through the web portal.
